Mrs. Karpagam, daughter of the founder Mr. Kula Sekhara Perumal shared few experiences regarding the construction of Shirdi Sri Sai Baba Trust, Chennai:

The founder of the temple, Mr. Kula Sekhara Perumal, is an ardent devotee of Sri Sai Baba. He was blessed with a divine vision in which Baba asked him to build a temple for Him. Orders from Baba were gladly obeyed and he completed the construction of the temple with his own funds. Until his end, he dutifully served Baba with utmost devotion and performed abhishekam (holy bath) to the small statue of Baba every single day.

Kula Sekhara Perumal experienced several blessings and enjoyed the grace of Sri Sai Baba. Once, he visited Shirdi to pay his obeisance to Baba. A 14-year-old boy accompanied him during his entire stay in Shirdi and helped him throughout. He spent a memorable time in Shirdi and enjoyed the presence of Baba. However, the young boy mysteriously disappeared once he boarded the train in Shirdi to return back home. Astonished by the strange appearance and disappearance, he strongly believed that the young boy was none other than Baba Himself. He was fortunate to experience and enjoy bounteous blessings from Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
